How long can we stay at The Wilds?
– Friday to Monday – 3 nights

Low season only: Friday to Sunday – 2 nights
Same-day arrivals are not available to book online.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure.
If you’re arriving after 5pm, please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements.
How many people can each safari tent sleep?
Each tent sleeps up to 6 guests, with a combination of double beds and bunk beds.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not permitted at The Wilds.
What’s included in the safari tents?
Each tent includes a kitchenette (with induction hob, combi microwave, fridge/freezer, and sink), a private bathroom with shower and separate bath, a wood burner, and an outdoor decking area with seating, BBQ, and fire pit by the lakeside.
Do the tents have heating?
Yes, each tent has a wood burner to keep things warm and cosy during your stay.
Are bedding and towels provided?
Yes, bedding and towels are provided for all guests.
What services are available in the tents?
Each tent is fully equipped with electricity, as well as running hot and cold water.
Is WiFi available?
WiFi is available on site, although due to our rural location the connection can occasionally be limited.
We are currently working on improving the service, and in the meantime, it offers a useful backup alongside mobile signal.
Are there TVs in the tents?
There are no TVs in the tents, allowing you to take time to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
If you’d like to bring your own device, we recommend downloading any shows, films, or games in advance, as signal can be limited at The Wilds.
What kitchen facilities are included?
Each tent has a kitchenette with an induction hob, combi microwave, fridge/freezer, and sink, along with basic crockery, cutlery, and utensils and cooking equipment.
Can we use the BBQ?
Yes, each tent has a gas BBQ on the decking. Please note that BBQ gas is not included as standard but can be added to your booking.
Is firewood provided?
A starter supply of logs, kindling, and firelighters is provided. Additional wood can be purchased during your stay.
Can we bring our own wood?
No – for safety and consistency, only wood provided on site should be used.
Is there a noise policy?
Yes — to maintain the peaceful setting, there is a quiet curfew from 10:00pm. We kindly ask guests to be respectful of others on site.
Is The Wilds suitable for children?
Yes, families are very welcome. However, children must be supervised at all times, particularly around the lake and fire areas.
Are there any safety considerations?
As with any outdoor setting, please take care around uneven ground, the lakes, and when using fires or BBQs. Full safety information is provided in your welcome pack.
Where do we park?
There is a car park for The Wilds close to the tents. There is a short walk from there to your tent. We ask that you do not drive on the grass unless directed.
Are day visitors allowed?
Yes, but we kindly ask that you inform us in advance so we can record visitors for safety reasons.
What extras can I add to my booking?
We offer a range of extras including s’mores kits, a Taste of Norfolk snack box, dressing gowns, travel cots, and BBQ gas.
Is The Wilds quiet and secluded?
Yes – The Wilds is set in a quieter area of Cobbleacre Park. Cobbleacre Park itself is set in the quiet village of Hevingham.
What should we bring with us?
We recommend bringing suitable outdoor clothing, footwear, and any personal items you may need. All essential facilities are provided.
Is there mobile signal at The Wilds?
Mobile signal can vary depending on your network, as we are in a more rural location.
Currently, Vodafone and O2 offer the most reliable coverage on site, although signal may still be limited at times. WiFi is available if needed.
Are there any rules we should be aware of?
Yes — to ensure everyone enjoys their stay, we ask guests to follow site guidelines around noise, fire safety, and respect for other guests and the environment. More information is provided in the welcome pack on arrival.
