How long can we stay at The Wilds?
– Friday to Monday – 3 nights
– Monday to Friday – 4 nights
Low season only: Friday to Sunday – 2 nights
Same-day arrivals are not available to book online. If you’re hoping to arrive at short notice, please give us a call and we’ll do our best to help.
What time is check-in and check-out?
– Check-in: from 2pm
– Check-out: by 10am
If you’re arriving after 5pm, please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements.
How many people can each safari tent sleep?
Each safari tent sleeps up to 6 guests.
This can be a mix of adults and children, or adults only.
Infants are welcome, but travel cots and high chairs are not currently provided, so please bring your own if needed.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not permitted at The Wilds.
What’s included in the safari tents?
Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, including:
– Bedding and towels
– Cooking equipment and crockery
– Electricity and lighting
– Wood burner with a supply of wood and kindling provided
– A private bathroom with shower, plus a separate room with a bath
Each tent also has its own fire pit, with a supply of wood and kindling provided. Additional wood is available to purchase if required.
For safety and conservation reasons, please do not cut trees or branches for firewood.
What facilities are on site?
– Parking is available close to the tents, with a short walk from the car park to your accommodation
– A quiet policy is in place between 10pm and 8am, helping keep The Wilds peaceful for everyone
Due to our rural location, Wi-Fi is currently limited to areas near the shop and office. We’re actively working with providers and hope to offer wider Wi-Fi coverage very soon.
Can we explore the park during our stay?
Yes, guests are welcome to walk around Cobbleacre Park and enjoy the setting.
Fishing is available on site, but not from the safari tents. Fishing tickets can be purchased from the shop at an additional cost for one of the other lakes.

Is The Wilds suitable for families?
Yes, The Wilds is ideal for families, but please note:
– Bookings must include at least one adult aged 21 or over
– The lakes are not fenced, so children should be supervised at all times
When is The Wilds open?
The safari tents are open seasonally from April to October.
For cooler evenings, each tent has a wood burner, and blankets are provided to keep you cosy.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your stay:
– 6 weeks’ notice – full refund
– 4 weeks’ notice – partial refund
– Less than 4 weeks – refunds are at our discretion
Date changes may be possible in line with the above policy.
